Description
PEFC-certified Whitewood Spruce internal door lining set for forming a timber frame around a standard internal door. Each set includes two uprights, one reversible head and loose door stops, with the head machined to suit either a 2'6" (762mm) or 2'9" (838mm) wide door.
Choose the lining depth to suit the finished wall thickness, including plasterboard, plaster or skim. The stated product sizes are nominal timber sizes; the finished dimensions are shown below so you can match the lining to the actual wall.

Which door lining size do I need?
- 32 × 115mm nominal: finishes approx. 27.5 × 108mm
- 32 × 125mm nominal: finishes approx. 27.5 × 120mm – the CLS-size lining, suited to common 89mm CLS stud-wall build-ups once the wall finishes are allowed for
- 32 × 138mm nominal: finishes approx. 27.5 × 132mm
- 32 × 150mm nominal: finishes approx. 27.5 × 145mm
- 32 × 175mm nominal: finishes approx. 27.5 × 155mm for deeper finished walls
Measure the finished wall before ordering rather than relying only on the stud or block size. If the lining is slightly wider than the finished wall it can normally be planed to suit; if it is too narrow, the difference has to be made good when finishing around the frame.

Completing the door opening
Once the lining is fitted, architrave finishes the joint between the lining and the wall. If you are forming a new partition, use CLS timber for the studwork.
